The Hatchery is a new innovation and creation space placed within the Alexander Library on the Rutgers-New Brunswick campus. The Hatchery is where students could come together to ideate; to learn from each other, from faculty, and from industry innovators; and to discover passions, challenges, and solutions.The identity system for The Hatchery is inspired by the interior design elements of the space. The color palette and design elements are created from the various shades of blue, green, and purple from the furniture and walls while the pattern of waves is seen throughout the space from the shapes of the modern furniture to the wavy linear texture placed in the ceilings. Designed with the collaboration and direction of Dennis Mark.
